Holly Hewerdine
Counselling & Wellbeing for Young People

I am an accredited Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with UKCP, UPCA and MEd.
Throughout my therapy sessions I encourage my clients to use a variety of art materials such as sand tray, paints, games, and clay, as a way for them to express themselves. I believe these materials can be incredibly helpful in enabling a young person or child to express feelings. I believe that this can support a child to articulate what they may be struggling to verbalise.

My clinical experience includes working with young people and children in a number of settings including schools and charities.

I provide a safe, contained and confidential space for my clients, where they are able to explore any difficult feelings they are experiencing.
I offer a weekly one-to-one session with my clients, and I have experience in working with:
-
trauma
-
loss
-
grief
-
anxiety
-
self-harm
-
suicidal ideation
-
relationship struggles
-

-
eating issues
-
self-esteem difficulties

I also have experience in counselling young people on the autistic spectrum.
